Who is Tom Sawyer?

I’ve always wanted a pseudonym and decided this would be a good opportunity to create one. While no means a Mark Twain buff, I do particularly enjoy his somewhat pithy quotes. I also hope that I can use this outlet as my own coming of age adventure. As for the boy behind the words, I am 23 years old and live in Melbourne, Australia.

 

Why freshgentleman?

I guess the essence of this blog is about my quest to become a man. I have always had this romantic idea about a ‘gentleman’ – a capable man with style, power and confidence. There seems to be a gentleman renaissance at the moment and I will do my best to share some of my ideas about the modern gentleman. I don’t like the term ‘self-improvement’, though more practically this will be a tool for me to grow into the man I’d like to be.
